Directions
Make Roux
- Melt butter in pan
- Add flour, salt, and pepper, and cook on low until golden brown
- Add chicken broth one splash at a time, constantly mixing
- Add vegetables and let sit
Make Dumpling Batter
- Mix dry ingredients
- Mix wet ingredients
- Stir wet and dry ingredients together in a large bowl
Make Soup
- Add chicken to hot broth
- Add spoonfuls of dumpling batter to hot broth
- Add a splash of heavy whipping cream to broth
- Heat for minutes, or until dumplings are cooked
