Make Roux

  1. Melt butter in pan
  2. Add flour, salt, and pepper, and cook on low until golden brown
  3. Add chicken broth one splash at a time, constantly mixing
  4. Add vegetables and let sit

Make Dumpling Batter

  1. Mix dry ingredients
  2. Mix wet ingredients
  3. Stir wet and dry ingredients together in a large bowl

Make Soup

  1. Add chicken to hot broth
  2. Add spoonfuls of dumpling batter to hot broth
  3. Add a splash of heavy whipping cream to broth
  4. Heat for minutes, or until dumplings are cooked
